Terms of Use

By accessing or using Missing Pages, you agree to these Terms of Use and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

These terms are a binding agreement between you and Olatomiwa Bifarin, an individual developer, operating Missing Pages before any future incorporation or entity formation.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the service only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for activity that occurs through your account.

Missing Pages allows users to sign in with Google, upload Goodreads exports, build library visualizations, analyze reading patterns, and generate AI-assisted outputs. The service may change over time, and features may be added, removed, paused, or discontinued at any time.

The service is offered on a closed alpha/beta, experimental, invitation based, and evolving basis. You should expect occasional bugs, downtime, incomplete features, output variation, and the possibility of data loss, account suspension, or feature changes.

You agree not to:

• Use the service for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent activity.
• Upload content you do not have the right to upload, use, or direct us to process.
• Interfere with or disrupt the service, security systems, or other users.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or probe the service except as allowed by applicable law.
• Use the service to infringe intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
• Use AI-generated output as a substitute for legal, medical, financial, educational, or other professional advice.

You retain ownership of content you upload or submit, subject to any rights held by third parties. You grant Missing Pages a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, reproduce, modify, and display your content solely as needed to operate, maintain, improve, test, and secure the service.

You represent and warrant that you have all rights, permissions, and authority needed for the content you upload and for the processing you ask the service to perform.

We may also use your content, prompts, feedback, and product usage patterns to improve the product and its internal quality systems. If we materially change how user content is used, we will update these terms and the Privacy Policy.

The service may generate essays, analyses, recommendations, and other outputs using AI systems and third-party data sources. Those outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, biased, outdated, or unsuitable for your specific situation.

You are solely responsible for reviewing and evaluating AI-generated output before relying on it. Missing Pages does not provide legal, medical, financial, academic, or other professional advice.

The service itself, including its software, design, branding, and original site content, is owned by or licensed to the operator of Missing Pages and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership of the service to you.

Feedback you provide may be used without restriction or compensation.

The service depends on third-party services and data sources, which may include authentication providers, user-supplied reading-history exports, AI processing providers, and book or metadata providers. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, policies, or acts of third-party services.

We may suspend or terminate access to the service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe a user has violated these terms, created risk, or misused the service. We may also discontinue the service or any part of it at any time.

Beta access is revocable at any time. Admission to the closed alpha/betadoes not guarantee continued access, future product availability, or any obligation to continue operating the service.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, QUIET ENJOYMENT, ACCURACY, OR RELIABILITY.

We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that any content or output will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your purposes.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MISSING PAGES, ITS OPERATOR, AND ITS SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE TOTAL LIABILITY OFMISSING PAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO USE THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100).

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Missing Pages, its operator, and service providers from and against claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or related to your use of the service, your content, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the state where the operator principally resides, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. To the extent a dispute may be brought in court, you and Missing Pages consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state or federal courts located in that jurisdiction.

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. The updated version will be posted here with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the service after the updated terms become effective means you accept the revised terms.
